Pam Angevine's grandfather had 13 ponies for his grandchildren and taught them how to ride on a barrel hung by a rope. Pam is the only one who is still involved with horses, having gone from eventing to Thoroughbred training. This interview was done in 2007 when she was still a leading trainer at Suffolk Downs in East Boston. Her stories clearly show her philosophy of training, her great care for these athletes. I've never heard anyone say a bad word about her, and this interview gives a great sense of her humor and resiliency.
